My husband and I recently finished reading "Bringing Up Girls" by Dr. James Dobson, and let me just say, we loved this book. Although our daughter is only a toddler, we reaped so much wisdom from this book and will certainly keep it on the bookshelf to revisit time and time again as our daughter grows.
"Bringing up girls" is filled with information and about the physiological and psychological make up of our girls, beginning in their adolecent years and going all the way through their teenage years. Dobson discuses topics that I know many parents have questions about and whose beliefs, at times, counter-cultural. These topics in this book include modesty, protecting our daughters from technology, and the importance of the father in their life.
I found this book so helpful and insightful in regards to raising my daughter. Although I haven't read it yet, I also look forward to reading Dobson's other book "Bringing Up Boys."
